Video production company awarded

Communications Concepts, a Cape Canaveral-based video production company, recently won an award from the Florida Motion Picture and Television Association for producing a promotional video for the city of Cape Canaveral.

The video showcases the many things Cape Canaveral has to offer from watching manatees at the park along the river to biking one of the many scenic streets overlooking the beach.

Communications Concepts shot the video over one week using shots from local restaurants, businesses, hotels and resorts. The City of Cape Canaveral will use the five-minute video to promote the city and educate people moving to the area. It will also be featured on the city's Web site.

CCI vice president and general manager, Jim Lewis and videographer and editor Dan Jones, recently presented the award to Cape Canaveral Mayor Rocky Randels at a December city meeting.
