Posted: 2014 Aug 15 - 06:11

For the Aug. 26 election, Hometown News is publishing information on each candidate for seats that have challengers.

Unopposed candidates are simply listed.

In Southeast Volusia, Edgewater, New Smyrna Beach and Oak Hill have no candidates on the August ballot, but will have candidates on the Nov. 4 ballot. Hometown News will publish information on those candidates in October.

For more election information, the League of Women Voters of Volusia County has Q&As available for each contested nonpartisan countywide, municipal and local judicial races.

Seventy-six candidates responded to specific questions relating to the offices sought and areas to be represented.

Responses are posted on the website exactly as received, with no editing of content by LWVVC.
