TREASURE COAST -- Dr. Christina Hart, Vice-President of Institutional Effectiveness at Indian River State College, was presented with the President's Cup, the College's highest annual award for excellence and service that serves as an inspiration to others.
Ms. Hart attended IRSC as a student and member of the College's National Championship Diving Team from 1975-77. The Jensen Beach resident joined the college as an employee in 1981, working up the ranks to positions of increasing responsibility.
"With an impressive professional tenure that spans over three decades at IRSC, Christina Hart's leadership and impact over just the past ten years could be considered a lifetime of accomplishment," said Dr. Edwin R. Massey, IRSC President. "It's an absolute honor to award this prestigious accolade to Christina Hart."
Under Dr. Hart's leadership, the College has obtained more than $109 million in grant funding over the past ten years, consistently meeting an annual goal of securing 14 percent of the annual budget in grant funding. Enthusiastic and dedicated, she also serves the College as a liaison to federal leaders and agencies. Under her guidance, a seven-member Institutional Effectiveness team has helped to revitalize professional development and revamped a more efficient and effective planning cycle. Most significantly, she led the College's efforts to orchestrate a flawless decennial-reaccreditation process with the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges this past year.
