Saturday night events include an outdoor movie on the lawn at Stetson University. The Enzian Theatre, Orlando, is offering a showing of "Under African Skies," a documentary about Paul Simons' production of his album, "Graceland in Africa." Movie-goers should bring a blanket or chair. There will be free popcorn while it lasts. The film will begin at 8:30 p.m., on the Stetson Green, adjacent to the Carlton Union Building, 131 E. Minnesota Ave.
On Sunday, June 15, activities will be around Café DaVinci in downtown DeLand, featuring a Global Music & Poetry Festival and awards presentations from Friday night's competition, Bedouin belly dancing and an open drum circle.
The Athens Theatre will also feature the production "Untamed," a live presentation of dance and musical numbers inspired by the Lion King. Area museums will be open for free during the festival weekend with special exhibits to be displayed at area restaurants and public buildings throughout June.
