FORT PIERCE -- CareerSource Research Coast is expanding services in Fort Pierce and is inviting the public to join them on May 29th for a ribbon cutting and open house beginning at 8 a.m.
"We look forward to assisting more Fort Pierce residents with job seeker services closer to home," said Richard Stetson, president/CEO of CareerSource Research Coast.
CareerSource Research Coast, formerly known as Workforce Solutions, has been delivering limited services at the Garden City Community Annex for more than five years. With this change, area job seekers can visit the Resource Room and be assisted by Career Services Representatives who can help develop strategies that will lead to improved job readiness. The Resource Room is also equipped with computers, internet, fax machine, copier and telephones. Employability skills workshops are also available and as always there is no fee for these services.
"This ribbon cutting will mark a new beginning," said Tracey McMorris, director of field operations of CSRC. "We're pleased the Mayor of Fort Pierce, the honorable Mayor Linda Hudson, and the St. Lucie County Chamber of Commerce will help us spread the word."
The event will begin at 8 a.m. with the St. Lucie County Chamber of Commerce and Fort Pierce Mayor Linda Hudson performing the ribbon at 8:45 a.m. The CareerSource Research Coast Garden City Community Annex is located at 2102 Avenue Q in Fort Pierce.
