The Garden Club of DeLand will host its spring garden tour Saturday and Sunday, April 26-27.

This year's tour includes six distinctive private gardens and the gardens and clubhouse of the Garden Club of DeLand at 865 S. Alabama Ave., DeLand. The tour, themed "A Garden Salute to Wounded Veterans," will be from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday and from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday. Each garden is dedicated to a branch of the U.S. military.

Entertainment, refreshments and vendors are scheduled throughout the tour.

Tickets are on sale at Funky Trunk Treasures, 222 N. Woodland Blvd.; Wolfe's Gallery, 119 N. Woodland Blvd. and DeBary Nursery, 61 S. Charles Richard Beall Blvd.) and are $15 in advance or $20 on tour days.

The tour is self-guided, and ticket buyers are given a guide and directional map to the participating gardens.

Ticket buyers can begin their journey at any stop along the tour. A portion of funds raised will benefit Veterans Farm, Jacksonville -- a program that offers mental, physical and spiritual therapy for wounded veterans though gardening.

The 2014 Garden Tour homeowners are O.S. and Sue Brannon, John and Karen Hall, Dave and Judy Maurer, John and Susanna Trittschuh, Carmon and Williemae Ungaro and Glenn and Carol Zeliff.
