PORT ST. LUCIE -- LUNAFEST, a film festival featuring award-winning short films by, for, and about women, is coming to the Treasure Coast.

The film festival is being hosted by the Inner Truth Project Center, 2190 Reserve Park Trace, #13, Port St. Lucie, on Saturday, April 5. Registration begins at 4:00 p.m. There will be two showings at 5:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. Tickets cost $20, student tickets cost $15 and can be purchased online at www.innertruthproject.org. Contact Kerry Webster at Kerry.webster@live.com for more information.

The event is sponsored by Adam Fetterman, FPL, Fetterman & Associates, Keiser University, Morgan Stanley, Panera Bread, Personal Independence Network, St. Lucie Jewelry, Seacoast National Bank, St. Lucie Jewelry & Coins, The Feathered Nest and Oak Cottage Spa.

This season's program of nine selected films will compel discussion, make you laugh, tug at your heartstrings and motivate you to make a difference in your community. Incredibly diverse in style and content, LUNAFEST is united by a common thread of exceptional storytelling by, for and about women.

All proceeds from LUNAFEST will benefit the Breast Cancer Fund and Inner Truth Project Center. Thus far, LUNAFEST, which is created and funded by LUNA, The Whole Nutrition Bar for Women, raised more than $556,000 for Breast Cancer Fund and over $1,000,000 for other women's nonprofit organizations.

The Inner Truth Project Center provides an environment where survivors of sexual abuse, violence or rape can bravely share the truth about their experience and receive the help they need to find strength, hope and health...one story at a time.

LUNAFEST is an annual national touring film festival that supports female artists and women's issues. Started in 2001, LUNAFEST was developed to support female artists and their stories and causes through film. This traveling film festival spotlights the work of a diverse array of talented women filmmakers with intelligent, funny and thought-provoking themes. LUNAFEST is brought to you by LUNA, the makers of the Whole Nutrition Bar for Women.
