Just what I needed!

Another fishing rod!

Over the years I have accumulated several rods and as many reels, and over the years I keep telling myself, " not this year, no new outfits" but then the Magazines come out with all the new "stuff " and you start to read how great the new ones are, how light they are, and how you can cast a certain type bait, how sensitive they are, and on and on it goes until you totally forgot about the promise you made to yourself about not getting another rod.

You finally find the one that suites your needs, the one that you will be using for throwing your spinner baits and the reel you are now using, you noticed the last time you were out ,you thought you heard a funny little noise you never heard before and you also notice a scratch on the side and you were just thinking about sending the reel in for a good cleaning, anyway and the cost of the cleaning would help pay for a new one, and I can't put an old reel on a new rod, and my favorite reel is on sale, so I may as well get the reel also, next year I will not get anything, I have all I need now. Whew!

I don't know if any of that sounds familiar to some of you or not, but I go through this every year. Seems I have no will power.

That's why I've got umpteen outfits and I still haven't found out how I can cast more than one at a time. And this is one big question I've been asked.

I did get my new outfit and the next day went fishing with it. I caught one over five and another over six and would almost break my promise to myself again for that kind of a day. How about you, would you?

Truly, this is one of my favorite outfits and for some reason it catches bigger fish for me (maybe I'm making it easy for next year's decision.
