Caroline Nolan, an 8th grader from Stuart Middle School, with her science project 'Filtering Agricultural Effluent using Fungal Mycelium Filters.' Last year Caroline was one of two Martin County students selected from 30,000 participants from across the U.S. as semi-finalists for the BROADCOM Masters, a national science competition developed to inspire middle school students to continue their studies in math and science throughout high school.
