MARTIN COUNTY -- Dr. Michael Hennings has a mission: to eliminate pain and bring smiles back to his patients' faces in as little time as possible using much more than conventional chiropractic techniques.

Dr. Hennings is one of a select few chiropractors in the nation who are board certified neurologists and he specializes in treating nerve-related problems at his practice which opened in July.

Dr. Hennings grew up in Palm City and received his doctorate in 2010, then went on to practice as an associate with other doctors as he worked toward his post-doctorate in neurology.

"That training makes me that much more capable to treat the problems people come in with," Dr. Hennings said.

Dr. Hennings concentrates on making people feel better, faster by using advanced diagnostic testing to pinpoint issues.

"My area of expertise is between where conservative care stops and surgery begins," Dr. Hennings said.

Nerve-related complications is an area not often covered by traditional chiropractic care and he wants to fill the gap in with treatment.

Dr. Hennings treats headaches, vertigo, numbness in the hands and feet, sciatica, even disc herniation, which many patients don't realize is treatable. He also offers massage and physical and spinal decompression therapies as part of his regimen.

He uses many advanced testing procedures which assess the health of nerves and muscles to identify underlying causes of pain and discomfort, procedures that offer vital information to remedy problems quicker than trial and error.

"We're able to make people feel better, faster than with a traditional chiropractor," Dr. Hennings said. "We make people feel better when others can't."

That's what motivates Dr. Hennings and he invites anyone with back or neck pain, headaches, pinched nerves or any other discomfort to come in for a free consultation and initial exam and x-rays.

He'll use his wealth of wisdom and training to devise solutions which get patients back to feeling themselves.

Hennings Chiropractic Neurology is located at 3662 S.W. 36th Ave., Suite 2, Palm City and can be reached at (772) 220-5880.
