VIERA -- Three of Brevard's musical groups will join together for a night of music that is sure to put you in the holiday spirit.

On Friday, Dec. 6, the Indialantic Chamber Singers will be joined by the Alleluia Bells and the Brevard Children's Chorus, as it presents "Sounds of Christmas" at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Viera. The concert is free to the public, with donations gratefully accepted, and begins at 7:30 p.m.

Friday's performance will be the Indialantic Chamber Singers' fourth annual "Sounds of Christmas concert.

"Back then, we wanted to perform another concert that would highlight the Singers at a new venue," said Tony Spadafora, president of the Indialantic Chamber Singers. "From there, we invited the Alleluia Bells to come and perform, and they have joined us ever since."

Mr. Spadafora said that the Alleluia Bells will be joined by its new director, Kyle Jones.

"They will 'ring in' the season as they have in the past, I'm sure," Mr. Spadafora added. "The Brevard Children's Chorus joined us last year, and will join us again this year."

The Indialantic Chamber Singers will also be joined by a new face at "Sounds of Christmas," as the group will be led by Dr. Jamie Younkin of Florida Tech, one of the three conducting candidates vying to be named the new director of the Indialantic Chamber Singers. David Vogeding, longtime conductor and founder of the Indialantic Chamber Singers, retired in May 2013.

A popular holiday concert for Brevard residents, "Sounds of Christmas" is sure to have everyone's favorite seasonal tunes.

"We will sing 'O Tannenbaum' with the Brevard Children's Chorus, and that will start the concert--it is one of my favorite Christmas tunes," Mr. Spadafora said. "Then, there's 'Mary Had a Baby' by Malcom Sargeant, and this tune is bound to get your feet stomping ahead of the holidays."

Concluding the concert will be an audience sing-along, full of favorite carols for all to enjoy.

"This concert is one of my favorites of the year," Mr. Spadafora said. "It features everything special about Christmas -- singers, children and hand bells. You get it all in one concert, and it will fill you with holiday spirit."

The Indialantic Chamber Singers will host "Sounds of Christmas," featuring the Brevard Children's Chorus and the Alleluia Bells, on Friday, Dec. 6 at 7:30 p.m. at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Viera.

The concert is free to the public, with donations greatly accepted.

St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church is located at 5655 Stadium Parkway, Viera.
