ST. LUCIE COUNTY -- The Home Instead Senior Care office serving St. Lucie County has partnered with retailers and community organizations to make sure isolated seniors receive gifts and companionship this holiday season.
Be a Santa to a Senior trees are provided by and located at Butterfield's Pharmacy and Medical Supply stores at 1707 St. Lucie West Blvd. in Port St. Lucie and 5009 Turnpike Feeder Road in Fort Pierce.
Seacoast National Bank locations in Port St. Lucie will each have a Be A Santa To A Senior gift collection box for anyone who wants to drop-off miscellaneous gift donations. The list of gift items commonly requested by seniors in the program includes: non-skid socks, magnifying glasses, neck pillows, canes, body lotion, candy, cookies, pet food and lap blankets. Donations are accepted through Dec. 14.
