Look before you yell
This is directed to the man who was driving down Riverside Drive around 3 p.m. Monday, Nov 18. I was in a Green Toyota, taking my very sick friend, who is dying of cancer, for a peaceful drive, to enjoy the beautiful day maybe one of his last.
I was going the speed limit, maybe slowing down some, trying to anticipate the bumps in the road, so as not to add to his pain.
As we stopped at the light (you were turning right onto the causeway), you decided to scream and yell at me, telling me to "learn how to drive" among other profanities.
Well, I just wanted you to know, that you hurt a very kind gentleman.
He was embarrassed and therefore ruined what otherwise would have been a great afternoon.
You should be ashamed of yourself. I pray this "rant" reaches you and maybe, next time you think, maybe just a little, before you yell out your window, for if you would have only looked into the passenger seat, you would have undoubtedly seen the very unhealthy, sick and dying man I had in the car. Shame on you.
In response to: 'Port Orange Police need shakedown
I enjoyed the better policing needed in Port Orange rant. We need something done. I think we need to go to the top and see what is going on.
In response to 'Falling through fingers'
I was reading a rant called falling through the fingers and it reminded me of my introduction to Students for Democratic Society in the 1970s. A friend of mind and her brother came over and they were all excited they were going to Miami to protest the Republican Convention and Republican corruption.
I said wow, all those kids' parents are going to pay for them to go to Miami and stay at the Fountainbleu. She said no. They are going with stolen credit cards. I said, "Did you hear what you just said?"
I think those students grew up and now are controlling Washington, D.C. and I think we ought to stop name calling the people up there who are believers in our government and who are trying to return us to a sane government. Who believe if you want to eat, you ought to work, except in rare instances.
Too many cats no more
I would like to thank the Animal Control in Orange City that helped me with all the cats I had. Thank you.
