Grace Lutheran Church in Port St. Lucie participates in the Backpack program, supplying food for children at Manatee K-8th who currently are on the free lunch program during the week but often suffer from "weekend hunger." Grace Lutheran recently received a grant of $500 from Thrivent Financial for Lutherans to aid in providing food for these children.
