Commissioners seek volunteers for advisory boards, committees

St. Lucie County Commissioners are looking for civic-minded residents to serve on various advisory boards and committees for future openings.

There are more than two dozen committees and advisory boards, including Planning and Zoning, Citizens Budget Committee and others. These groups make recommendations and provide valuable input into the decisions made by the St. Lucie County Board of County Commissioners.

Some committees have additional requirements. In addition, service on committees with planning, zoning or natural resources responsibilities may require disclosure of financial interests.

Applications are available on the county's website at: http://www.stlucieco.gov/BOCC/index.htm.
