PORT ST. LUCIE -- Port St. Lucie's 12th annual Fall Festival, featuring carnival rides, costume contest, live entertainment and more, will be held from Thursday, Oct. 31 through Sunday, Nov. 3 at the Civic Center.
Festival goers can enjoy live music, a wide variety of food, arts and crafts shows and many more activities for all ages. The festival's carnival rides will add to the fun. Tickets for the rides are $1 each or for $20 you can purchase a wrist band and ride an unlimited amount of times on the day of purchase.
The costume contest will take place on Thursday, Oct. 31 from 6- 8 p.m. Judged on creativity and originality, there will be winners for cutest and scariest in each age group. There will also be a special prize for all families who enter the costume contest with a theme. There is no fee to enter the costume contest. Winners will be announced at 8 p.m. Kids 12 years and younger are invited to go inside the Civic Center to trick or treat with the Police Athletic League and fill their pumpkins with free candy.
On Saturday, Nov. 2 from 7- 10 p.m., the Showcase Band will perform on stage. Then on Sunday, Nov. 3 from 1 to 3 p.m., Solid Gold Dance Band will perform, followed by Sal and Random Play at 3:30 p.m.
Here's a summary of the times and activities for the festival:
Thursday, Oct. 31, 5- 10 p.m.
Indoor Trick or Treating with Police Athletic League from 6 - 8 p.m.
Costume Contest from 6 - 8 p.m.
Entertainment Connection Dance Party from 5- 10 p.m.
Friday, Nov. 1, from 5 p.m. to midnight.
Live Latin/Salsa Band will perform beginning at 7 p.m.
Saturday, Nov. 2 from 11 to 12 a.m.
Youth group performances from 11 a.m. - 6 p.m.
The Showcase Band will perform from 7- 10 p.m.
Sunday, Nov. 3, from noon to 6 p.m.
Solid Gold Dance Band will perform from 1 to 3 p.m.
Sal and Random Play will perform from 3:30- 6 p.m.
Proceeds from the Fall Festival benefit the PSL Downtown Lions Club programs.
Parking and admission are free.
The Civic Center is located at 9221 S.E. Civic Center Place, on the southeast corner of U.S. 1 and Walton Road.
