PORT ST. LUCIE -- Starting Nov. 4, the city of Port St. Lucie will launch an online processing system for all building permit applications. Applications submitted prior to Nov. 4 will not be affected, and will remain in the existing system until completed.
Known as PANDA, the new system is web-based. It will be used for all inspection requests and permit tracking, and inspection results will be posted on online.
PANDA was developed in-house and has been tested extensively; however there may be delays at the permit counter during the transition to the new system. During the first few weeks of the launch, the Building Department will limit submittals to five per applicant, and then come back at a later time to submit the remainder.
As part of this transition, the Building Department will soon initiate other online services such as submittals for specific permits, payments and plan reviews.
The Building Department is upgrading its application process to increase efficiency and better serve the public, and staff will make the transition to the PANDA system as smooth as possible for the city's valued customers.
The new system will be accessible from a button on the city's home page, the Building Department page, and at www.pandapublicweb.cityofpsl.com.
