TREASURE COAST -- Learn how to take care of your health in a fun and engaging way at the Indian River State College Nursing Student Health Fair.
IRSC nursing students, empowered by a strong desire to share the latest information about health and wellness, are bringing this free health fair to the Koblegard Student Union Thursday, Oct. 31, from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The health fair is for anyone interested in learning about ways to improve their health and wellness and is free to everyone.
There will be information for every age group and free giveaways. Attendees will learn about important health topics including: Diabetes Mellitus (with free blood glucose testing), Hypertension (with free blood pressure screenings) and nutrition. Information about skin cancer detection, HIV/AIDS, ovarian cancer, alcohol and drug dependence, breast cancer, dental health, Alzheimer's disease, the benefits of exercise, smoking cessation and more will be available at the health fair.
There will be free giveaways and information about health issues for every age group.
