Answer to 'Low class Brevard'

You base your feelings on a few incidents. You are very wrong. Of course, there are low class. But, the whole county? Be real.

Don't judge all of Brevard. There are low class everywhere you go.

I am neither a Democrat nor a Republican, but I do vote. You sound like a very unhappy and bitter person - a Democrat, no less.

My advice to you is to move back where you came from, because you don't belong here. And your mind is set into finding everything wrong and closing your eyes to the good things out there

We have many very good and intelligent people here.

Sorry you are so blind.

Love instead of hate

Love can build many bridges between us all, and hate can only destroy them.

Let us always remember the love instead of the hate, for hate will destroy us all.

Let us keep in our hearts that men are men, and women are women no matter where you are from or what you look like.

Let it be remembered that we are one race, the human race, and we should learn more about love and less about hate.

Grading the government

If I were a schoolteacher grading our American government today, this is how I would grade them.

Not for the three R's: reading, writing and 'rithmetic, but on the subjects of procrastination, blaming and government.

For procrastination, I give them an "A."

In this subject, they have shown much creativity at successfully using delaying techniques.

It seems to be true that tomorrow is their favorite day.

Next, they merit a well earned "A" for blaming.

Here, I see unusually resourceful finger-pointing and skillful evasion of responsibility.

Last, though most importantly, they get an "F" for governing. This they have failed to do.

Under the heading of "Teachers Remarks," I would add the recommendation that they not be allowed to repeat.

It grieves me to say that I urge expulsion as the only way for 99 percent of us to have a better outcome.

The daily news on TV and other media suggested this bit of imagination.

Surely, in this great country of the United States of America, we can elect a few-hundred wise, good and knowledgeable people to govern us.

We may be in agreement with the way they govern. We may not like the way they govern; but, at least, they would be doing the job they were elected and paid to do.

Shame on us, if we vote for more of the same.

To all you narrow-minded people out there

I do not give a rat's seat what you think of me. You can call me names and laugh all you want at me, and point your fingers.

I am just waiting for my inheritance and then I can get the $#^* out of here.

All you close-minded leprechauns are stuck in this rat hole.   Don't feel sorry for me, feel sorry for yourself.

My heart goes out to all the women out there in this county. No amount of alcohol or drugs would get me into bed with some of the things I see coming out of the sporting goods store.

Still getting paid

May be I am not that smart as others, but shouldn't the senators and house speaker and all of the politicians be also subject to leave their jobs and not to get paid like the average Joe and Jill, who are out of jobs because of the politicians decisions to shut down the government?

Why are they (senators, House speaker and representatives) are still on their jobs and getting paid? Aren't they working for the same government?

This is why this country and its government is not working right, and all the burden is on poor taxpayers.

Thanks a lot for your votes to elect all these people to the office.

Next time, think twice about your candidates.

For those of you who like to litter

How would you feel when coming out of your home, you see litter in front of your house? I am sure you would not like that.

So, why do you feel you have to litter?

There are plenty of trash bins all over. Can't you just hold onto your garbage and throw it where it belongs and not on the streets where we all live?

Even though I am disabled, I pick up your garbage and put it where it belongs, why can't you?

Stop this littering!

Checks and cars

Why do retired people think they deserve a Social Security check?

They deprive young Americans from jobs.

They buy Japanese, German and Korean cars.

Why don' t they buy American cars?

Terrible conditions

I am just calling to rave about the letter from Dennis Peer, from the Animal Guardians of Brevard.

It was a wonderful letter, and I wish people would contact their Congressman and contact anybody they can to do something about the terrible conditions of our SPCA facilities.

It is just terrible.

I went there with a friend, who wanted to adopt a dog. It was just terrible, and she just left.

This is uncalled for. We have to treat these animals almost as if they were human.

We are doing everything we can to volunteer. I, myself, volunteer, and my friends all volunteer.

I ask my friends and neighbors today to contact their Congressman.

They said, "Who is he?"

I couldn't tell them.

Our Congressmen don't do anything for us.

Anybody that we can offer to help us with the Humane Society is not available.

I don't know what they do, but they are completely ignoring all the people who are raising funds for a no-kill shelter.

We even have an excellent shop on north Wickham Road. It is called an upscale thrift shop.
