PORT ST. LUCIE -- Whether it's time for a cut and color, polished nails or a facial, Hair Trends in Port St. Lucie has the service covered.

Since opening her salon in September, 2009, Karen Seaboyer has prided herself on offering a full menu of quality services for any hair type.

"We have a very eclectic staff that caters to each one of our client's needs," said Ms. Seaboyer.

"It doesn't matter the hair type or what sort of service is wanted, we tell our guests that if the service isn't on the menu, to ask for it."

The salon has stylists who can cover any request. From braids, extensions, sew-ins, color, re-texturizing to precision haircutting, whatever look a client is seeking, Hair Trends has a stylist who can accommodate the guest.

"We carry a complete line of products for any type of hair," said Ms. Seaboyer. "We carry organic products for the 'greenies' and products that are kind to the scalp and to the hair."

The salon offers keratin treatments which straighten frizzy, out of control hair.

"The idea is to make hair healthy and manageable," Ms. Seaboyer said. "We want our clients to leave with the know-how to continue keeping their hair healthy at home. They need to know what the proper products are, how to use them, and what damage can be done to their hair if they don't use products properly."

Hair Trends also offers services for children, such as back to school haircuts, and up-do hair styles for formal dances and weddings.

"We can accommodate any type of hairstyle request," Ms. Seaboyer said. "My staff has a vast knowledge of everything related to hair, skin and nails. We are the complete package."

On Fridays, Hair Trends turns up their relaxed atmosphere a notch by serving wine and snacks and playing music.

"We love Fridays," Ms. Seaboyer said. "We have a lot of fun. There's always laughter and a lot of genuine friendships between the staff members, clients and those who sometimes just like to come by and visit. We are just like a big family."

Hair Trends is located at 1006 Port St. Lucie Blvd., in Bridge Plaza. They are closed on Sundays and Mondays.

Appointments and free hair consultations are available by calling (772) 398-8300. Walk-ins are welcome.
