Ticketing in school zone

More than 150 students heading to the first day of classes at South Daytona Elementary School today were "ticketed" by police officers, but there were only smiling faces because it was a coupon for a free Slurpee and a new pencil. Officer Anthony Labombard and Interim Police Chief Ron Wright hand Natalie Paterni, 7, a pencil and Slurpee coupon as she heads to her second grade class.
