Housing Program office moving

In order to better serve the citizens of Martin County in one convenient location, the offices of the Martin County Housing Program will be moving from the Martin County Administrative Center to the existing offices of Martin County Community Services at 435 S.E. Flagler Avenue (adjacent to the Martin County Peter Cheney Courthouse on East Ocean Boulevard in Stuart). The Housing Program office will be closed Thursday and Friday, July 25 and 26, to facilitate the move. The Housing Program will resume normal operating hours at its new location on Monday, July 29.

The phone number for the Martin County Housing Program will remain the same. Email addresses for Housing Program staff will also remain the same.

Clean up taking place

The sixth annual Treasure Coast Waterway Cleanup will take place in Indian River, St. Lucie and Martin counties on July 27 from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and organizers hope to have even more participation than ever before on the 125-mile stretch of waterways in the tri-county area.

Open house taking place Aug. 1

"Interior Design Open House" will take place Aug. 1, 6:30 p.m., Room V-125, Kight Center for Emerging Technologies, 3209 Virginia Avenue on the IRSC Main Campus, Fort Pierce. Open House for anyone interested in careers and information on Interior Design, Auto CAD REVIT, the new 12-credit Home Staging Certificate program and other courses. Da Vinci Dash

Six-day scavenger hunt for teams of four starts at 8 a.m. at the Elliott Museum, 825 N.E. Ocean Blvd., Stuart. Participants must be over age 21. Compete for points earned by gathering clues and completing challenges at a series of destinations around Martin County. Concludes with a cocktail reception and celebration from 6:58-10:56 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 10 at the museum. Grand prize is $1,000 cash and bragging rights.

Participants may sign up with a team of four or sign up as individuals (and the Elliott Museum will assign teams).
