Free dental services available
The HANDS Clinic of St Lucie County will be on-site here at the Center on July 9, 2013 beginning at 10 a.m. and staying all day to offer free dental screenings to children participating in the Summer Read and Feed program. There is no charge, and once the children have been screened, the public is invited. First come, first serve basis.

Library to hosts business marketing workshop
The Fort Pierce Branch Library will host the "Marketing Your Business" workshop presented by Service Corps of Retired Executives on Tuesday, July 9 from 5-7 p.m.
A member of SCORE will cover topics such as: Assessing your marketing place, understanding your competition; targeting your customers and differentiating your business and establishing a marketing budget.
This event is free and open to the public.

Tax Collector office hours to change
The two St. Lucie County Tax Collector's offices will soon have new operating hours. Beginning Monday, August 5, the branches located in Fort Pierce and in Port St. Lucie will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. with driver license services offered from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Walk-in customers may wish to take advantage of making an appointment online. Current wait times can also be viewed on the website. The busiest time of day at the branches is 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., and the most popular days of the week are Mondays, Tuesdays, and Fridays. Customers should note that many transactions can be completed on the website or via mail. Also, payments may be deposited into a secure drop box at the main entrance of both branch buildings.
The two branch offices are located at 2300 Virginia Ave., in Fort Pierce, and at 1664 S.E. Walton Road, Suite 101 in Port St. Lucie.

Free movies offered
The Children's Services Councils will partner with Regal Treasure Coast Cinemas for their annual Summer Movie Express at the Treasure Coast Square Mall. Every Tuesday and Wednesday at 10 a.m. children and adults can come out and watch a family friendly movie for $1.
In addition to the offerings at Regal Cinemas, Children's Services Council of St. Lucie County will be supporting the Summer Kids Series at Nova Cinemas in Fort Pierce. Nova movies are free on Tuesdays, and groups can attend on Wednesdays with a $1 reservation. For more information contact the theatre at (772) 489-8889.
There will also be specials on movie meals for those who attend. Theaters fill up fast, so families are encouraged to show up early and grab their seats.
