Jobs grant analysis
A recent analysis of the county's local jobs grant program demonstrates that this incentive to grow jobs in Indian River County has been a success. The Jobs Grant Program was created to provide financial incentives for "Targeted Industries" to locate or expand within Indian River County and is included in the county's economic development policy.
Bill Schutt, senior economic development planner for the County's Community Development Department, provided the analysis presented to the County's Economic Development Council.
Based on the latest quarterly reports supplied to the County by the companies that have received jobs grants, the 154 jobs provided by those companies produce $12,277,095 in annual wages.
