The Daytona Beach City Commission has unanimously approved an agreement with the Volusia Flagler YMCA to bring Y programming to the Midtown Cultural and Educational Center and Cypress Aquatic Center.
Programs may include, but are not limited to, SilverSneakers exercise programs, water aerobics, toddler tumbling classes, toddler yoga classes, senior computer classes, senior cooking classes, walking programs, pre-diabetes classes, group exercises including Zumba, yoga, spin or cycling classes, boot camp classes and other related programs.
Programs at the center could begin as early as July and are anticipated to begin by targeting area seniors in a variety of possibilities including diabetes prevention, aerobics, cooking and computer classes. Ultimately, youth programs will be offered as well.
