Xander Martinez, 6, and Juliana Martinez, 10, of Indian Harbour Beach worked on a sand art project at the Sea Turtle Preservation Society Sunday, June 16. The society celebrated World Sea Turtle Day and Archie Carr's birthday, with a party that included refreshments, kids' activities, a silent auction and a viewing of the student art contest submissions. Coincidentally, a rare and endangered baby Hawksbill turtle was rescued the same day by the society.
