Kaelyn Parlo, 7, Rylan Delp, 2, along with their mother Krista Delp, tried their hand at piracy at the second annual Cocoa Beach Pirate Fest, Friday, June 14. Captain Dan Leeward brought his pirate ship up from the Treasure Coast to give children of all ages the chance to participate. The pirate fest was a three-day event, held at the International Palms Resort. The event included pirate-themed vendors, a black-powder weapon and sword-fighting demonstrations, food and drink. Many professional and part-time pirates joined in the fun.
