For Hometown News

The state Department of Health has issued 36 Emergency Suspension Orders (ESO) and Emergency Restriction Orders (ERO) in the past 30 days, including two in Volusia County, for violations relating to the commission of crimes, standard of care, drug use or student loan defaults

Tammie Clayton of Port Orange, a licensed practical nurse at The Terrace in Daytona Beach, was issued an ESO after she was found to be withholding medicine from a patient and keeping it for herself.

Qintavia Hamilton of Daytona Beach, a certified nursing assistant, was issued an ESO after she pleaded no contest to fraudulent use of credit cards.

Both women face permanent suspension.
