TREASURE COAST -- Indian River State College will offer help in obtaining financial aid for college, as well as provide information regarding job placement services every third Wednesday of every month. The dates are June 19, July 17, Aug. 21 and Sept. 18.
The sessions will be held at the IRSC Main Campus, Crews Hall, Room W-227, 3209 Virginia Ave., in Fort Pierce from 1 to 2 p.m. and from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. The information sessions are designed to help with the financial assistance students need to attend college and to provide resources available to assist IRSC students and alumni with resume writing, interviewing skills, and job placement
IRSC students are awarded more than $30 million in financial aid, including grants and scholarships, each year.
"Don't let financial concerns stop you from obtaining a college education," said Jacquelene Burke, IRSC coordinator of the career and transition services.
IRSC is recognized nationally for providing a quality education with affordable tuition. Substantiating this is the College's ranking as the fifth most affordable college in the country by the U.S. Department of Education and its ranking as the tenth top public regional college in the South by U.S. News & World Report.
