Road closures

Water main utility work will commence on the following roads: All American Boulevard, St. Lucie Shores Drive, St. Lucie Lane, Savoy Drive, Pompano Drive, Marlin Drive and Sailfish Drive.

Intermittent lane closure may take place between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. The work is expected to be completed by July 30.

College to host job fair

Indian River State College will hold a Job Fair for its students and graduates on Wednesday, June 12 at the Chastain Campus in Stuart from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The Job Fair provides an opportunity to network with employees and interview for open positions. Attendees should dress professionally and bring copies of their resume.

The event will be held in the Wolf High-Technology Center at the Chastain Campus at 2400 S.E. Salerno Road in Stuart. Register online at www.irsc.edu, Click on Career Services and then Students-Register.

Store partners with library for book fair

Friends of the Martin County Library System announces a book fair in partnership with Barnes & Noble Jensen Beach on Saturday, June 22. All are invited to attend this exciting and family friendly event.

A portion of sales using the special promotion code from June 18 through June 27 will benefit the Friends of the Martin County Library System.

Barnes & Noble is located at 3001 N.E. Federal Highway in Jensen Beach.

Senior Gems workshop series

Free four-part educational series in June for caregivers of individuals with dementia will be held at the Kane Center in Stuart in June, from 1-2:30 p.m. every Tuesday. Open to the public.

Sessions include Positive and Effective Strategies for Dementia Care (June 11); Techniques for Successful Dementia Care Interactions (June 18); and Meaningful Activities for Positive Dementia Care (June 25).

The Kane Center is located at 900 S.E. Salerno Road in Stuart. Free respite care is available.
