Hippiefest and its '60s vibe will lay a groove on Peabody Auditorium Sunday, June 9, with a street festival and indoor concert.

Out in the street, the party starts at 3 p.m. with live music from Tie-Dye Road, Taragonna Way and Steam. There will be food, drinks, '60s merchandise, art, plants, pottery, face-painters and psychics. The street festival is free and open to everyone.

The Happy Together concert hits the auditorium stage at 7 p.m. with the return of the most-requested duo, The Turtles featuring Flo and Eddie, and, for the first time, Gary Puckett and the Union Gap and Gary Lewis and the Playboys. Also performing are returning artists Chuck Negron, formerly of Three Dog Night, and Mark Lindsay, former lead singer of Paul Revere and the Raiders.

In the three years since The Turtles featuring Flo & Eddie brought back some friends for the 25th Anniversary Tour in 2010, "Happy Together" has become one of the most successful summer tours in existence, constantly hitting the road and celebrating the music of the '60s for thousands of "Happy" fans to enjoy across North America.

"Happy Together Tour 2013 will be the biggest and most successful tour we have done in the past 7 years," said Mark Volman (aka "Flo") of The Turtles. "It's 54 cities over nine weeks, and the groups on this year's show bring with them hours of hit songs and memories certain to please every fan of the 1960s. We are so excited to be a part of this great show. You don't want to miss it."

In all, the five artists on this year's tour have more than 60 Top 40 hits to choose from, including seven number one songs, including "Happy Together" by the Turtles, "Joy to the World," "Mama Told Me not to Come" and "Black & White" by Three Dog Night, "Indian Reservation" by Paul Revere & the Raiders; "Young Girl" by Gary Puckett & the Union Gap; and "This Diamond Ring" by Gary Lewis & the Playboys.

For the concert, reserved tickets ($38, $43 and $49, plus service fees) are available at the Peabody Box Office, Ticketmaster outlets at Wal-Mart Supercenters, charge by phone at (800) 745-3000 and online at Ticketmaster.com. Group discounts are available for 15 or more for this show.
