FORT PIERCE -- Ronald "Ron" S. Shultz Sr., 67 passed away May 16, 2013, at Florida Hospital in Orlando Florida.
He was born on Feb. 15, 1946 in Atlanta, where he was a member of the Audubon Forest Methodist Church and attended Arlington High School. He also attended Norman College in Norman Park, Georgia before serving in the U.S. Army during which he was stationed in Germany during the Vietnam War.
In 1967, Mr. Shultz married Nancy Guest, his high school sweetheart. Following a wedding in Atlanta, they resided in Germany, then Mobile, Ala., and finally settling in Fort Pierce.
For the next 43 years, Mr. Shultz was involved in the family automobile business, Bill Shultz Chevrolet, Inc. He served the company in several capacities beginning as a salesman, then New Car Manager, General Manager and finally for the last 15 years serving as President and Dealer.
Mr. Shultz was a Gator Booster and avidly enjoyed attending Florida Gator Football games for many years but had a soft spot for FSU (when they did not play the Gators).
Mr. Shultz enjoyed golfing, NASCAR, and fishing but above all spending time with his family. He was a loving husband, father, son, brother, and 'granddaddy,' who left his family far too early but will forever shine in their hearts.
Mr. Shultz was a respected member in the community and supporter of education and youth sports during his life. He was a member of the Pelican Yacht Club where he previously served on the board of directors.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Nancy; two daughters, Ansley (Tyler) and Kimberly (Will); a son, Steven; his parents, Bill and Louise; two brothers, William (Joan) and Jeff (Renee); five grandchildren, Ali, Cade, Carter, Carlisle, and Cole and numerous nieces and nephews.
