Band to perform

The Stuart Community Concert Band will perform "March Madness in May" on Sunday, May 19 at 2 p.m. The concert will feature a variety of marches and familiar tunes.

Tickets, which are $4 for Kane members, $6 for non-members, are available at the Kane Center or by calling (772) 223-7800 (Monday - Friday). Tickets will also be available at the door for $5 for members and $7 for non-members.

"Mornings on Mainstreet" taking place May 23

Downtown Stuart networking breakfast, "Mornings on Main Street" is coming to the historic Lyric Theatre on May 23. "Downtown Cultural Ambassador," Ron Hart will speak about the events, advertising, and social media that go in to keeping Downtown Stuart in the minds and hearts of locals and visitors alike.

Coffee and a light breakfast from Stuart Coffee Company will be featured.

Author to speak at library May 23

Author and television personality Joanne Caras will speak on Thursday, May 23 at 6 p.m. in the John F. Armstrong Wing of the Blake Library, 2351 S.E. Monterey Road in Stuart.

Ms. Caras' two cookbooks Holocaust Survivor Cookbook and its sequel Miracles & Meals are a collection of more than 240 stories and 500 recipes received from Holocaust survivors around the world.

Her television show, Miracles & Meals with Joanne Caras appears on Mondays at 9 p.m. on Jewish Life TV, which is available in more than 36 million homes in the U.S.
