Provides friendly atmosphere and numerous health courses

By Chris Fish

MELBOURNE BEACH -- With a wide range of activities and equipment, Melbourne Beach Fitness has something for everyone.

"We encourage people to come in and try us out," said Robert Rippolone, co-owner of Melbourne Beach Fitness. "We are here to better other people's lives."

Located at 3830 S. Highway A1A in Melbourne Beach, Mr. Rippolone opened the business 11 years ago, alongside business partner Ivan Deabreu.

"I moved here 12 years ago, and Ivan owned a gym up north, so we got the idea of opening one here," Mr. Rippolone said.

Since then, Melbourne Beach Fitness has provided a comfortable atmosphere and various fitness courses, including Pilates, yoga, body sculpting, Zumba, indoor cycling, spin classes and an on-site chiropractor.

"I think we are a family oriented, close-knit gym," Mr. Rippolone said. "We know everyone on a first-name basis, and we have a clean and friendly atmosphere."

Mr. Deabreu agreed that their gym is a perfect place for residents to better themselves.

"Health is wealth," he said. "If you stay healthy, you live longer. We are here to motivate and help you."

Melbourne Beach Fitness also provides dance lessons, starting at $10 per session by appointment.

For the future, the two said they just signed another five-year lease at their current location, so they plan on providing their services for years to come.

Melbourne Beach Fitness is located at 3830 S. Highway A1A in Palm Bay and is open from 4:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Thursday; 4:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Friday; 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday; and 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Sunday.
