Ethel K. Strauss

Ethel K. Strauss, 94, died Thursday, April 18, at Smyrna West ALF in

New Smyrna Beach.

Mrs. Strauss was born in St. Clair, Pa., and moved in 2004 to New Smyrna Beach to live with her daughter. She was a graduate of St. Clair High School class of 1937, a member of Holy Trinity Church in St. Clair, Pa., which her father helped build, the Ladies Sodality and worked at Wearever in Deer Lake, Pa., for 13 years.

A service will be held this summer.

Allen-Summerhill Funeral Home DeLand is in charge of her arrangements.

Irene T. Krestan

Irene T. Krestan,93, died at her home in Edgewater on April 6.

Ms. Krestan was the widow of Capt. Ed Krestan who died in 2002.

Both Mr. and Mrs. Krestan were part of the Original New Buffalo (Michigan) Snug Harbor Group. They lived on Lake Drive and were known for their boat (EDRENE). Irene was a member of St. Mary's of the Lake Catholic Church alter and rosary society.

Arrangements were handled by Settle-Wilder Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 406 S. Orange St., New Smyrna Beach.

Clara Cipra

Clara Cipra, age 84, of New Smyrna Beach, , died on April 21, at Halifax Health Hospice of Volusia/Flagler, Edgewater Care Center.

Ms. Cipra was born in West Newton, Pa., and moved to New Smyrna Beach in 1986.

At the request of Ms. Cipra, no services will be held.

Arrangements were handled by Settle-Wilder Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 406 S. Orange St., New Smyrna Beach.
