Tour de Force rides through county
The 16th annual tour de Fource kicked off in North Miami Beach on April 14 and rode through the county on April 15.
The five-day, 270-mile charity bike ride up Florida's east coast will raise money for five law enforcement officers killed in the line of duty last year, and concluded on April 18 in Daytona Beach.
On April 15, the bikers rode through Martin County, stopping at Martin County Sheriff's Office in Stuart.
The campaign will end at the annual Florida Law Enforcement Memorial Service on May 5 in Tallahassee.
Sheriff's office looking for help with sexual assault case
The Martin County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help locating the suspect who sexually assaulted a 10-year-old girl on April 7.
The report indicated the incident happened in a wooded area near the Manatee Creek community, near Cove Road and Dixie Highway. Detectives say the suspect told the child he lost his dog in the woods and needed help finding it.
The suspect is described as a white male in his 20s with short, dirty blonde hair. He was wearing a blue and white striped shirt and had some type of cast or brace on one of his hands.

Town Hall meeting will address pillowcase burglaries
The Martin County Sheriff's Office will be holding a series of town hall meetings to discuss the recent rash of pillowcase burglaries in the area. Sheriff William D. Snyder will talk to citizens about measure being taken to help combat the problem and what can be done to protect themselves and their property.
The public is invited to attend the meetings, to be held from 6 to 8 p.m. April 30 at the Pine School, located at 12350 S.E. Federal Highway in Hobe Sound.
Two pillowcase suspects arrested
On April 5, the Martin county Sheriff's Office arrested two confirmed pillowcase burglars during a traffic stop in Palm City.
Both suspects were from Broward County, and were pulled over for speeding.
According to reports, they were in a rental car that was found to be full of stolen properties from previous burglaries in Broward County.
To date, the Sheriff's Office has arrested 32 pillowcase burglars, all from Broward County.
