MARTIN COUNTY -- The community has a wonderful opportunity to give back to their local hospice by participating in the 16th Annual Friends Swing Fore Hospice Golf Tournament.
The golf outing will take place at the beautiful Harbour Ridge Yacht & Country Club in Palm City on Tuesday, April 23, with a shotgun start at 1:30 p.m.
The tournament, which attracts golfers from all around the region, format will be a four-person scramble and prizes will be awarded to the best men's, women's and mixed foursome teams. After a day on the links golfers will enjoy a festive cocktail reception featuring a silent auction.
Golf foursomes donated by some of south Florida's most exclusive clubs will be featured in the silent auction. There will be a live auction conducted by the popular Michael Leonard. Players will also have the chance to have the Harbour Ridge golf pros take a swing for their foursome on the course to help improve their score.
This year's presenting sponsors are Carl's Buick GMC and Sunshine Golf Car. Additional sponsorships are still available.
For the last 16 years, the Founding Friends of Treasure Coast Hospice have worked tirelessly organizing annual golf tournaments that fund quality hospice care for all Treasure Coast patients regardless of ability to pay.
The entry fee is $195 per golfer and sponsorships start at $250.
