VERO BEACH -- Youth from the Boys and Girls Club learned how to fish and basic boating safety from the Vero Beach Power Squadron on Saturday March 23.

Captains arrived at 8 a.m. at the Power Squadron building to take the youth boating and fishing. The youth began the morning event by being fitted with Personal Floatation Devices and hearing boating safety information, which they were quizzed on after their lunch.

Prizes were awarded for catching the most fish, the least number of fish, and the biggest fish.
