Habitat for Humanity hires director of retail operations

Southeast Volusia Habitat for Humanity has hired Cindy Bacher to direct retail operations in its Volusia County service area.

Ms. Bacher has extensive retail experience and most recently managed Ashley Furniture's Daytona Beach store. Mary Frances O'Brien will remain store manager at Southeast Volusia Habitat for Humanity's ReStore in New Smyrna Beach.

Southeast Volusia Habitat for Humanity, an affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International, builds and refurbishes houses in New Smyrna Beach, Edgewater and Oak Hill.

Eight condominiums for rent at Bouchelle Island

Only eight luxury condominiums remain for rent at Bouchelle Island in New Smyrna Beach.

Anthony DiMucci, who heads DiMucci Cos., developers of Bouchelle Island, said two and three condominiums range in size from 1,150 square feet of living space to 1,500 square feet.

DiMucci said the luxury condominiums are available for long-term lease start at $1,100.

Ribbon-cutting ceremony set for bakery

The Southeast Volusia Chamber of Commerce will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 24, at the Sweet Boutique, 103 E. Park Ave., Edgewater.

The Sweet Boutique offers basic bakery items and a large variety of made-to-order baked goods.
