TREASURE COAST -- With many people on the Treasure Coast still out of work, the planned Spring job fair couldn't come at a better time.
Thousands of jobseekers are expected to travel to the Havert L. Fenn Center in Fort Pierce on April 17, when Workforce Solutions holds the fair from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Dozens of companies from St. Lucie, Indian River, Martin and Okeechobee counties include Aegis, City of Port St. Lucie, the Fort Pierce Police Department, Indian River Medical Center, Martin Health System and many more.
The many businesses are looking to fill more than 500 positions in administrative, customer service, Internet technology, legal, accounting, marketing and more.
To help with the job search, there will be an area apart from the booth area available to employers to conduct one-on-one interviews.
Job seekers are encouraged to come to the fair dressed professionally, bring copies of their resume and allow sufficient time to visit with all of the employers. Children will not be allowed, so childcare arrangements must be made in advance.
