Paramedic suspended from duties
The Florida Department of health issued an emergency suspension order for William Greene, a paramedic working in Stuart. An emergency suspension order is not considered final agency action, and the individual is entitled to a hearing before final action is taken.
Sheriff's office looking for help with sexual assault case
The Martin County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help locating the suspect who sexually assaulted a 10-year-old girl on April 7.
The report indicated the incident happened in a wooded area near the Manatee Creek community, near Cove Road and Dixie Highway. Detectives say the suspect told the child he lost his dog in the woods and needed help finding it.
The suspect is described as a white male in his 20s with short, dirty blonde hair. He was wearing a blue and white striped shirt and had some type of cast or brace on one of his hands.

Town Hall meetings will address pillowcase burglaries
The Martin County Sheriff's Office will be holding a series of town hall meetings to discuss the recent rash of pillowcase burglaries in the area. Sheriff William D. Snyder will talk to citizens about measure being taken to help combat the problem and what can be done to protect themselves and their property.
The public is invited to attend the meetings, to be held from 6 to 8 p.m. April 16 at the Hoke Library, located at 1150 N.W. Jack Williams Way in Jensen Beach, and from 6 to 8 p.m. April 30 at the Pine School, located at 12350 S.E. Federal Highway in Hobe Sound.
