For Hometown News

The Little Theatre's performances of David Lindsay-Abaire's "Good People," directed by Ted Pack, will open Friday, April 12, and close Sunday, April 21.

Seven performances are planned at 8 p.m. on April 12, 13, 18, 19 and 20 and 2 p.m. on April 14 and 21.

"Good People" was awarded a Tony nomination for Best Play and the Drama Critics Circle Award since its New York premiere in 2011.

This is a play about social class in America. Class consciousness and divisions fill every scene. "Good People" is a powerful portrayal of "miserable" poor working-class Americans facing the world of the "comfortable" professional class (words used in the play).

Tickets are priced at $16 for adults, $15 for seniors and $8 for students younger than 18, and available by contacting the box office from 1 to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday at (386) 423-1246.

The Theatre is at 726 Third Ave., New Smyrna Beach.
