New Smyrna Beach author publishes first work
Rating: 1.8 / 5 (5 votes)

John Bonham, a resident of New Smyrna Beach, has published his first fiction novel named "Murder, Cremation & Other Crimes."

Although only published for a short while, the book has already received a five star review.

John and his wife and editor, Marie, enjoy their combined families that include six children and nine grandchildren.

Prior to moving to New Smyrna Beach in 2000, he served as a board member and volunteer builder at West Volusia Habitat for Humanity.

In addition, Mr. and Mrs. Bonham are cofounders of Kidds aRe First, a local charity supporting foster children.

Before he moved to DeLand from Boulder, Colo. in 1995, he spent a 30-year career with IBM in a variety of cities and assignments.

Most of the assignments required writing requirements, such as proposals, press releases and technical documentation. Writing a novel had always been a long term goal of his.

He is working on a sequel to, "Murder, Cremation & Other Crimes", named "Ashes to Ashes," once again featuring fugitive heroine and murderess, Madison VanDorf (alias Emma Bisset). The sequel is planned for publication by year end 2013.

The book "Murder, Cremation and Other Crimes" is available in Kindle e-book as well as paperback by visiting www.amazon.com and searching on "John Bonham in books."
