FORT PIERCE -- The city of Fort Pierce announced the availability of a grant funding opportunity through the Fort Pierce Authentic Tours program, a division of the Urban Redevelopment Department of the City of Fort Pierce.
The FPAT program reflects the city's continued commitment to strengthen the capacity and sustainability of existing ecological, agricultural, aqua and nature tourism businesses by providing funding to improve program quality, delivery and sustainability to increase tourism, new jobs and improve the local economy.
A business or organization must be a member of the Fort Pierce Authentic Tours program to be eligible for grant participation; maximum award is $5,000 per qualifying applicant. Grant requests up to $3,500 are allowable without any cash match.
Requests over $3,500 require a minimum of 100 percent cash match on the $1,500 excess.
