Waveland Beach closed for beach re-nourishment
On April 1, Waveland Beach closed temporarily while construction crews set up for the park construction being performed in anticipation of the beach re-nourishment project slated to begin along South Hutchinson Island.
The lifeguards will be relocated to South Beach Park at 801 South Ocean Drive until the beach re-nourishment is completed and the access structures at Waveland Beach are reconstructed. Lifeguards will be on duty at South Beach Park seven days a week from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. until Waveland Beach reopens.
Mall to host summer camp expo
A Summer Camps Expo will take place April 13 at Treasure Coast Square, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
This event will help families searching for fun summertime activities available in Treasure Coast. Summer Camp Expo is free and open to the community to attend.

Job fair strategies workshops taking place
Workforce Solutions is offering Job Fair Strategies workshops in all four counties leading up to their April 17 Spring Job Fair at the Havert L. Fenn Center.
In St. Lucie County, the workshop will take place at 584 N.W. University Blvd., Suite 300 in Port St. Lucie from 9 to 11 a.m. on April 9, and from 1 to 3 p.m. on April 11.
