ST. LUCIE COUNTY --
The Indian River State College Hallstrom Planetarium will present the galactic show, The Planets.
In a recorded narration by Kate Mulgrew (Captain Kathryn Janeway of "Star Trek: Voyager"), Mulgrew takes the audience on a grand tour of the solar system and visits to Earth's neighboring worlds.
See a comet collide with Jupiter, fly along the Mariner Valley, the Grand Canyon of Mars and stand at the edge of the 10-mile-high ice cliffs of Uranus' moon, Miranda. Travel to far-flung Pluto and out to the distant realms of other solar systems in this exciting show.
The Planets will be presented on April 19 and 20, May 17 and 18, and June 14 and 15. Planetarium show times are Friday evenings at 7 and 8 p.m. and Saturday afternoons at 1 and 2 p.m. Tickets are $3 each and may be purchased at the IRSC Box Office at the McAlpin Fine Arts Center or by calling (800) 220-9915 with VISA, Discover, American Express, or MasterCard or visit www.irsc.edu. Planetarium shows are recommended for adults and for children over the age of four. The Hallstrom planetarium's temperature is maintained at 72 degrees and visitors may want to bring a light jacket or sweater.
