FORT PIERCE -- The Sunrise Theatre, along with the Sunrise Theatre Foundation will host four separate, week-long children's summer programs conducted by the Missoula Children's Theatre.

During the camps, partially underwritten by the Sunrise Theatre Foundation and with the help of volunteers, local partners and sponsors, two professional MCT Tour Actor/Directors will work with a cast of more than 60 local children in four full-length original musical productions. There will be focused rehearsals with the children, where lines, staging, songs and movement are learned in 4.5 sessions each week.

The weeks culminate in public performances of each session, starring local children, complete with professionally designed scenery and costumes.

Through the Sunrise Theatre and MCT, and the help of the Sunrise Theatre Foundation, media partners, volunteers and sponsors, our young children and teens will develop a love and appreciation of the arts

Following is a list of each of the Sunrise Theatre / MCT Summer Camps being held this year:

On June 10-14 camp will lead up to The Wizard of Oz, children's performance, at 7 p.m. June 14; for the July 8-12 camp, there will be a Rapunzel, children's performance, at 7 p.m. July 12; the July 15-19 camp will end in the Snow White children's performance, at 7 p.m. July 19; and the final week is from Aug. 12-16, with the Pinocchio, children's performance, taking place at 7 p.m. Aug. 16.

A maximum of 64 students will be able to participate in each of the programs. The cost for each week-long program is $100 per child. Students grades first through 12th (ages 6-18) are encouraged to participate. No advance preparation is necessary. Assistant directors will also be cast to assist with the technical aspects of the production.

Registration for all camps is now open. To register, call (772) 461-4775. For more information on each session, visit www.sunrisetheatre.com
