MARTIN COUNTY -- On Saturday, April 6, Martin County residents will have the chance to rock out with not one, but three local bands.

Cruisers Bar and Grill is having a Rock and Metal show featuring the bands Hammer, Outlaw Tendencies and Edge of Reason.

"We've all known each other for a long time," said Chris Arndt, founder of Outlaw Tendencies. "We've always supported each other's bands, and recently got together and decided to do this for the people that enjoy rock and metal music."

Mr. Arndt has been playing music for more than 30 years, and has been playing in this area for about 10 years. He formed Outlaw Tendencies a year ago, and the group has been going strong ever since.

"It all clicks really well for us," he said. The members of his band include Dustin McRoberts, Metal Eddie, Rich Chastain and Jonathan Chontos.

This will be the first time that the three bands have ever played the same venue at the same time.

The over-18 show will start at 8 p.m. with a disc jockey, and then the bands take over at 9 p.m., with each band playing for more than an hour.

The music will be a variety of rock and metal songs from the 80s, 90s and today.

"We cover everything from Jethro Tull to Megadeath," he said. "People will also hear some of our original music."

The cost is $5 for the evening, which will include prizes and drink specials.

"We've had a pretty good response so far from the community about the show," Mr. Arndt said. "They don't have many rock shows around here, so it should be a good turnout."

The Rock and Metal Show will be held on April 6 at Cruisers Bar and Grill, located at 843 N.W. Federal Highway in Stuart. The show starts at 8 p.m., and tickets are $5. For more information, go to the Outlaw Tendencies page on Facebook.
