School to host color run, music, food festival

The Pine School is combining the Knight Run 5K and the Pinedemonium Music and Food Festival - to create a fun, memorable weekend for the whole family.

The Knight Run will welcome runners from across the area on April 5, and Pinedemonium will feature local bands and food vendors on April 6. Both events will be held on the school's Hobe Sound campus and are open to the community.

All proceeds benefit The Pine School's Knights Booster Club, which supports arts and athletics at the PK3-Grade 12 independent school.

For information and registration, visit www.pinedemonium.org.

Pier to close

Portions of the fishing pier at Indian Riverside Park in Jensen Beach will be closed intermittently during daylight hours for the next several weeks as crews replace the deck boards. The pier will be open on weeknights and weekends during this project.

College hosting financial aid seminar

Cash for College at Indian River State College will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on April 6 at all IRSC campuses and the IRSC Blackburn Educational Building in Fort Pierce.

The event is designed to help college-bound individuals of any age with the financial aid application process.

Cash for College will take place at the Chastain Campus, Wolf High-Technology Center, Room C120, at 2400 S.E. Salerno Road in Stuart.

For more information, call (866) 792-4772 or visit www.irsc.edu.
