JENSEN BEACH -- Treasure Coast Community Church is inviting the community to take part in its ninth annual Spectacular Easter Celebration, "Easter Eggstravaganza 2013."

The festivities will take place at Pineapple Park in Jensen Beach, off Jensen Beach Boulevard, on March 31. The event will include a helicopter egg drop, bounce houses, petting zoo, field games, and hot dogs and drinks available for purchase.

The mad dash for Easter eggs will take place at 12:30 p.m., at which time the helicopter will drop 25,000 eggs onto the huge soccer field. Children ages birth through fifth grade will then be let loose to gather as many plastic eggs as they can. Parents with children three-years and older are asked to remain on the sidelines. The plastic eggs can then be redeemed for candy and some of the brightly colored eggs will be filled with money.

"Easter Eggstravaganza is the largest Community Outreach event Treasure Coast Community Church hosts throughout the year," said Andy Brown, children's pastor at Treasure Coast Community Church.

"I am looking forward to all the fun and faith building opportunities the Eggstravaganza will offer the children and families in the community."

The Easter Eggstravanganza will begin at 11:30 a.m. at Pineapple Park in Jensen Beach just off Jensen Beach Boulevard. All families are also welcome to attend Easter Sunday service at Treasure Coast Community Church. Services will be held at 9 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. at 4550 N.E. Palmetto Drive in Jensen Beach. Children's Sunday school programs begin at 9 a.m. and 10:30 a.m.
